What does five days of living life with students and adults look like at Student Fusion Camp? If you were to take a peek, perhaps you would hear the loud music and observe a sea of teenagers worshipping with literally everything they have. Or witness adults and students playing ridiculous games, that still seems to have a learning lesson attached to them. Maybe you would see the dark under-eye circles of the sleep-deprived adults and teens who stayed up late into the night talking about spiritual things, getting little sleep. The relationships built and the lives that are eternally changed make camp what it really is all about. This year was one for the books! 439 students and adults participated in Student Fusion this summer. Strong, solid and straight-shooting describe the message students heard during the weeks of camp from pastors Rayden Hollis and Mike Whittymore. This year’s theme revolved around being restored to a right relationship with Christ. Twenty plus students responded to Christ for salvation while countless others restored relationships that had been damaged by sinful choices. As students began to look beyond themselves to the world around them, they became more concerned with the salvation of the lost than when they had first arrived. This year’s missions focus was on East Asia and Send Relief. Students participated by auctioning off paintings and taking up an offering to benefit the spread of the gospel. Next summer marks the tenth year of Student Fusion Camp. Organizers are planning big for next summer! The theme for 2020 will be DWELL! Camps will be back to back on the calendar taking up the weeks of June 29 – July 3 and July 6 –10. Plan now to register your students early to get your group to experience an incredible week!
