It's the Season of Giving!
3 Creative Ways to Support your Church
Giving Tuesday is a great time to bless your church or favorite ministry, especially when it creates tax savings for you. Here are 3 ways the Baptist Foundation of Indiana can help:
Make a gift from an IRA account.
Donors aged 70½ or older who make a contribution directly from a traditional IRA to a qualified charity can donate up to $100,000 without it being considered a taxable distribution. The deduction effectively lowers the donor’s adjusted gross income (AGI). We are happy to help you make this gift. Email us at jennifer@inbaptistfoundation.org or call us at 317-481-2400, ext. 300 for assistance.
Make a gift of appreciated stocks or securities.
Save capital gains taxes and receive a charitable deduction when you make a gift of appreciated stocks or other securities. Transfer securities to the Baptist Foundation of Indiana’s brokerage account and we’ll do all the work to transfer the gift to the ministry of your choice. Click the link for an easy-to-use resource. Make a gift to a Donor Advised Fund with the Baptist Foundation of Indiana.
Get a tax deduction this year and support various ministries over the coming years. A donor-advised fund allows you to make a gift and secure a charitable income tax deduction in the current calendar year. Then, you can make grant recommendations to your favorite ministries at a future date. Click the link to download a donor-advised ministry account application. Donor-Advised Fund Application
