In 2021, SCBI Women will be looking to take equipping to the next level by “partnering with churches to discover and fulfill their next step.” During this past year, we learned that we can reach women in new ways through technological methods and will be implementing some new strategies to help train women to develop their leadership abilities. We will see this approach in 3 primary ways this coming year.
- “Fulfill your NEXT Step” through, 2021 Transformed Women’s Retreat
This year, the women’s retreat will take place in a Saturday-only format. It will be held in person on March 13th at Graceland Baptist Church, New Albany and on April 10th at Northside Baptist Church, Indianapolis. The event format will look different, as we will be utilizing a hybrid style retreat, with an in-person main stage style conference, combined with virtual online breakout classes, that will be accessible for several days following the retreat. This will provide for women who are ready to gather safely in person, as well as provide virtual options that will meet the needs of all women who love to learn at the traditional breakouts that are offered during Transformed each year!
- “Fulfill your NEXT Step” through, RISE: Taking Leadership to the Next Level
SCBI Women who are in leadership will be able to participate in targeted Christian leadership development when they sign up for Saturday morning virtual regional workshops. They will be given a specific leadership book to study prior to the workshop and then gather as a group virtually as qualified teachers unpack lessons learned from the study, while making application of the concepts practical for weekly use, in the areas women lead. More information on dates and topics will be coming soon!
- “Fulfill your NEXT Step” through, Missions Lifeline Conference
After participating in the 2020 Missions Lifeline virtually on November 21st, we are eager to gather together again in person on August 14, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenfield. Men, women, boys and girls will be able to learn about missions, take home some practical tools to reach their communities for Christ and hear from some of our NAMB and IMB Missionaries about their work, and how they can partner with them!
