During Student Fusion 2021 campers converged on Highland Lakes Baptist Camp with incredible gratefulness, after a tough year and a half. With the cancellation of last summer’s camps, students and leaders were eager to gather together, even if at a slightly reduced capacity. Rayden Hollis and Mike Whittymore brought incredible messages each day, while Jake Hueni of New Life, Osceola and Jake Brothers led students in inspiring worship and praise. Indiana youth ministers, pastors and lay leaders stepped up and led Bible study groups and interest-based track times, as well as much needed outdoor recreation! Wednesday night, students were challenged to take a look at any darkness they had been hiding in their lives throughout the past year and bring that into the light for the Lord to impact. Church groups saw tremendous transparency in their small group time and students and leaders spent a lot of time in prayer for one another. Campers walked away from Student Fusion with a renewed heart and mission to share Christ! In total, 55 students made a significant decision, impacting their relationship with Christ. A special missions offering was collected during both weeks of camp in the amount of $1,565.61. These funds will be combined with many other summer camp locations to forward on to the International Mission Board’s efforts in Venezuela and the North American Mission Board’s church planting mission.
