This year the North American Mission Board is providing funds to SCBI to assist our churches, church plants, and collegiate ministries with evangelism.  Here’s how some of those churches have been using those funds…

Living Faith Church, Indianapolis

Living Faith Church, Indianapolis:  We had 450 people come to our Halloween Outreach, and we had some great Gospel conversations!  Thanks SCBI and NAMB for making this possible!

Northeast Park Church, Evansville (above): We had a block party last Sunday night that had approximately 350-450 people attend.  We positioned hay bales and fire pits around the church grounds to create places where people could sit down and our members could have meaningful conversations with them. No decisions were made that night, but we reached about a dozen new families that we’re going to be following up over the next couple of weeks.  After COVID, it was good to see my church able to serve together again, and to sponsor this event that ministered to our community.

Calvary Baptist, LaPorte: We had about 200 people attend our Trunk or Treat Event last Sunday night, and we used the NAMB/SCBI funds to distribute Bibles and tracts in bags for all of the attenders.  In addition, we had a Gospel sharing tent where 38 people heard the Good News, and 13 decided to trust in Christ as their Savior!  We’re working now to follow up those decisions for Christ, and we’re planning to host another evangelistic event like this next Spring.

If your church would like to apply for the NAMB-SCBI evangelism grant funds to do an event that shares the Gospel and follows up those that attend, visit https://scbi.org/scbi-namb-evangelism-grant-funds-available-october-1/ for more information.
