On October 30, 2021, Valparaiso Baptist Church hosted its first-annual, community-wide Fall Fest at Northwest Indiana’s own County Line Orchard. This particular orchard is one of the largest apple orchards in the midwest, and it was the perfect spot for this fall-themed, family-friendly event. Over 1,400 people came out that evening to enjoy live music provided by Christian music artist Tom Golly, trick-or-treating, campfires with s’mores, hayrides, donuts and apple cider, giveaways, and more. Evangelist Jeff Wingard out of Fort Worth, Texas shared the Good News, and several souls came to know the Lord. The event was the church’s gift to the community and was completely free for the public to attend.

“Valpo Baptist desires to become more involved in our community. We want folks to know that we are here and that we love them. We thought this event was the perfect way to show them the love of Christ, and that we strive to truly be ‘A church with a heart,’” said Mitchell Tabla, Senior Pastor. Valparaiso Baptist Church plans to make this an annual outreach event in the fall of every year. They are thrilled about the possibility of potentially partnering with other local organizations next year to make the event even more enriching for the community.
