Psalm 92:1-5
1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praise to your name, Most High,
2 to declare your faithful love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,
3 with a ten-stringed harp and the music of a lyre.
4 For you have made me rejoice, Lord, by what you have done; I will shout for joy
because of the works of your hands.
5 How magnificent are your works, Lord, how profound your thoughts!
It is that time of year…. the seasons are changing, the leaves are changing/have changed, the air is brisk and begins to make you thankful to have a Highland Lakes sweatshirt on (available as a wonderful Christmas gift…but that’s another season yet to come). There are so many things to be thankful for, and it is “good to give thanks to the Lord.”
Your team at Highland Lakes is thankful for the opportunity that the Lord gives us to provide a resource that helps others discover, develop, and deploy a transformed life in Christ. But you already knew that. We are thankful to see His “faithful love in the morning and (His) faithfulness at night.” And…we are thankful that Rick Porter does not know how to play the ten-stringed harp or lyre.
But, did you know that we are also thankful for our SCBI pastors and churches who give so tirelessly of their time, talent, and treasure, to partner with us as we oversee a place that exhibits the handiwork of the Creator? I hope you know that. We continually “shout for joy because of the works of (His) hands.” Those works are magnificent and profound, and genuinely humbling.
May our Father bless you and encourage you and may you all know that we are thankful for all you do for the Kingdom, and for His Glory.
