Cooperative Program giving. Maybe you know of it, but don’t understand what it is or how it works. The Cooperative Program is the financial fuel to fund the mission and vision of reaching every person for Jesus Christ in every town, city, state, and nation. It’s over 47,000 Southern Baptists churches coming together to fulfill the Great Commission.
It all begins with you- your tithes, and offerings to your local church. Your church then commits to giving a percentage of its tithes and offerings and sends it to the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana (SCBI). The SCBI then distributes a certain percentage of those funds to the Southern Baptist Convention to support both national and international ministries.
In 2023, the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana will invest 64% of Cooperative Program funds received into Indiana missions and 36% of the funds will be forwarded to the Southern Baptist Convention.
To better understand how your Cooperative Program funds are allocated, here is a breakdown of what it looks like if your church gives $1.00.
