God’s amazing plan to fulfill the great commission and reach the nations with the gospel is through the local church. This is exciting news and a terrific opportunity to join God in His Work to save sinners. We get to see the lost rejoice as they realize God has come to rescue them from the penalty of sin, the power of sin, and one day the presence of sin.

What is also amazing is that local churches can work together to fulfill the great commission. Not one church can do it on their own. We need one another. This is the beauty of partnership. One way we get to partner together and help each other is through an evangelism grant. This grant (in partnership with the local church, the SCBI, and NAMB) allows churches to apply for up to $2,000 to use towards an evangelistic event. An evangelistic event must present the gospel to unbelievers and generate opportunities for Gospel conversations, must give an opportunity for people to respond to the Gospel, and must implement a plan to follow up with those who make decisions/express interest. Note: These funds are not intended to be used for new equipment for churches or collegiate ministries, paying church staff, making church building improvements, paying for church or collegiate mission trips, for large bulk mailings, etc.

Just this grant year alone (starts in October and ends in September), 18 of our churches have received evangelism grants. The evangelism events the grants have helped have been used for community park evangelism, egg hunts, VBS, apartment ministry, a stand at a farmers’ market, Halloween outreach, Fall festivals, sports ministry, and more.
