How to Make 2021 Your Best Year

Tom Savage | Jan 07, 2021

For many people 2021 is going to be a tough year. If you liked the way the 2020 presidential election turned out your year might not be quite so tough, but it will still be a tough year to some degree. If you did not like the way the presidential election turned out, 2021 could be a very difficult year. President-elect Biden has even said we are headed into darker days ahead. That is reassuring is it not?

So, what can we do? What can all of us do to make 2021 our best year possible? Be in right standing with God. This includes getting in right standing, remaining in right standing and returning to right standing when we veer off the path and fall out of fellowship. What is included in being in right standing with God?

A Few Thoughts on Intercessory Prayer

Tom Savage | Nov 05, 2020

As I prepare this article, we are coming to the end of Pastor Appreciation Month and heading into the month of Thanksgiving. This a great time to consider some thoughts on intercessory prayer. In 1 Cor. 16:9, the Apostle Paul wrote, “a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” […]

What Could America Look Like?

Tom Savage | Aug 04, 2020

What could America look like if a spiritual awakening were to happen? What if COVID-19 so worked on the hearts and lives of people, they would turn to God in record numbers and an awakening was to happen? When the awakening happened in Wales known as the Welsh Revival of 1904, lost people were dramatically […]

Tom Savage | Jun 30, 2020

As we look around our communities and our country, surely no one would doubt, our country is in need of a spiritual awakening. Over one hundred years ago, Evan Roberts felt the same way about the land where he lived.

Revival and Spiritual Awakening?

Tom Savage | Jun 01, 2020

When you think of the word revival, what comes to mind? Maybe a series of church meetings. A time when people get saved. A return to spiritual health after a period of decline into sin and broken fellowship with God. Have you ever been in one that was a real movement of God? How long […]

Do You Need a Fresh Encounter with God?

| May 03, 2020

Several years ago, I read through a work by Henry Blackaby entitled, Fresh Encounter. It seems in these days it would be good to review and relay some of the things our Lord said to me in that timeless treasure.

Down through church history, God has often used an individual or a small group of people to bring about a life-changing movement. These people believed God is the answer to issues and dilemmas. He wanted to have a fresh encounter with people, and He desired they wanted a fresh encounter with Him.

Does Prayer Really Work?

| Apr 02, 2020

Other ways to ask that would be, “How does prayer work? Can our prayers affect an all-powerful God? Do our prayers actually affect a sovereign God?”  Without dispute, there are more prayers being sent to God than ever before. I say that because there are more people alive today than ever before. People everywhere in […]

Two big errors

| Mar 03, 2020

Last month, our prayer talk focused on a powerful reason to pray – because of our partnership with God. Let us expand on that with discussing what could be called the two biggest errors in the area of prayer. They are (1) to work without praying first and (2) to pray but never actually doing […]
