How to Make 2021 Your Best Year

Tom Savage | Jan 07, 2021

If you liked the way the 2020 presidential election turned out your year might not be quite so tough, but it will still be a tough year to some degree. If you did not like the way the presidential election turned out, 2021 could be a very difficult year. President-elect Biden has even said we are headed into darker days ahead. That is reassuring is it not?

So, what can we do? What can all of us do to make 2021 our best year possible? Be in right standing with God. This includes getting in right standing, remaining in right standing and returning to right standing when we veer off the path and fall out of fellowship. What is included in being in right standing with God?

What Could America Look Like?

Tom Savage | Aug 04, 2020

What could America look like if a spiritual awakening were to happen? What if COVID-19 so worked on the hearts and lives of people, they would turn to God in record numbers and an awakening was to happen? When the awakening happened in Wales known as the Welsh Revival of 1904, lost people were dramatically […]

As we look around our communities and our country, surely no one would doubt, our country is in need of a spiritual awakening. Over one hundred years ago, Evan Roberts felt the same way about the land where he lived.

Revival and Spiritual Awakening?

Tom Savage | Jun 01, 2020

When you think of the word revival, what comes to mind? Maybe a series of church meetings. A time when people get saved. A return to spiritual health after a period of decline into sin and broken fellowship with God. Have you ever been in one that was a real movement of God? How long […]

Do You Need a Fresh Encounter with God?

| May 03, 2020

Several years ago, I read through a work by Henry Blackaby entitled, Fresh Encounter. It seems in these days it would be good to review and relay some of the things our Lord said to me in that timeless treasure.

Down through church history, God has often used an individual or a small group of people to bring about a life-changing movement. These people believed God is the answer to issues and dilemmas. He wanted to have a fresh encounter with people, and He desired they wanted a fresh encounter with Him.

Two big errors

| Mar 03, 2020

Last month, our prayer talk focused on a powerful reason to pray – because of our partnership with God. Let us expand on that with discussing what could be called the two biggest errors in the area of prayer. They are (1) to work without praying first and (2) to pray but never actually doing […]

Why should we pray? Part three

| Feb 03, 2020

By Tom Savage In the two previous articles, we have found we ought to pray (1) because Jesus prayed, (2) because that is what Jesus is doing, (3) because when we pray things happen, (4) because we are always seeking the will of God, (5) because evil forces are always out there seeking to hinder […]

Why should we pray? Part two

| Jan 03, 2020

By Tom Savage Last month we found that we ought to pray (1) because Jesus prayed, (2) because that’s what Jesus is doing, (3) because when we pray things happen, and (4) because we are always seeking the will of God. Here are two more reasons: Part Two Because evil forces are always out there […]

Prayer Talks

| Dec 05, 2019

Why Should We Pray? Many years ago, there was a television game show called, The $64,000 Question. Contestants would be asked general knowledge questions. The questions would increase in difficultly until ultimately the top prize question, the $64,000 question would be asked. Even though the show only lasted a few years, it affected the culture […]

What is prayer?

| Oct 09, 2019

By Tom Savage Thank you for taking the time to read this and future articles on prayer. As we continue on this pilgrimage, we call the Christian life, each of us is at a different stage in our personal prayer life – a consistent veteran, an on again off again pray-er, or we pray on […]
